Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
Thanks for your interest in Applied Compute ("Applied Compute," "we," "our," or "us")! Applied Compute builds Specific Intelligence — purpose-built systems trained for specific work at specific companies. We help organizations unlock their own data, use it to train proprietary models, and deploy them as an agent workforce that learns, improves, and delivers measurable business impact. Our mission is to turn data moats into model moats — giving companies not just models, but capable digital teammates that work alongside their human counterparts.
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how Applied Compute collects, uses, and shares information that is connected to you, or could be used to identify you ("Personal Information"), when you visit our website www.appliedcompute.com or use any of our services (collectively, the "Services"). This includes information you provide directly, information we gather as you interact with the Services, and information we may receive from third-party sources such as public databases, commercial providers, or publicly available websites. Some of this information is "Usage Data," meaning it is collected automatically from your activity, for example, the features you use, your interactions with our Services, or the duration of a page visit.
We also want you to know:
- We never use your Personal Information to train our models without your explicit opt-in and consent.
- You can revoke consent at any time and request deletion of information we've collected by emailing us at privacy@appliedcompute.com
This Policy does not apply to Personal Information about Applied Compute employees or certain contractors and agents acting in similar roles.
This Policy doesn't apply to information that's not legally considered Personal Information, for example, fully anonymized or aggregated data that can't be linked back to an individual. In some cases, we may also de-identify information, and where permitted by law, this Policy wouldn't apply to that either.
By using Applied Compute's Services, you agree to the practices described here, meaning you're giving us permission to collect, use, and share your information as explained in this Policy.
We wrote this with clarity in mind, and if something does not make sense, we are always ready to answer your questions.
2. How We Use Your Personal Information
To provide, maintain, and improve our Services, Applied Compute collects a variety of information when you use our Services. This includes details you share directly with us and data gathered automatically as you use our Services. For example, you might provide your name, email address, and organization when you:
- Create an account
- Submit a support request
- Communicate with us by email or other channels
We also collect technical and usage information to help us understand how you interact with the Services and to keep your experience stable and secure. This may include:
- Pages visited and time spent on the site
- How you navigate or use features
- Device type, operating system, and browser
- IP address and other general device identifiers
To safeguard accounts and maintain platform integrity, we may request additional information to verify your identity, or we may rely on trusted third parties such as analytics or infrastructure partners who help us detect unusual activity, enhance performance, and keep the Services reliable.
We also use cookies and similar technologies (like pixels and server logs) to:
- Support essential functionality
- Personalize your experience
- Analyze site usage
- Measure engagement with our Services
In addition to these core functions, we may use your Personal Information for purposes such as:
- Contract fulfillment: Carrying out purchases or service agreements you've entered into with us.
- Communications: Reaching out about important changes, including security notices.
- Optional updates: Sharing news, special offers, or details about related services or events (unless you've chosen not to receive them).
- Support: Managing and responding to requests you send us.
- Business operations: Evaluating or carrying out transactions like mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, or asset sales where user information may be part of the assets transferred.
- Improvements: Running data analysis, reviewing usage patterns, assessing the effectiveness of campaigns, and improving our products, services, and overall user experience.
Importantly, your Personal Information will never be used to train Applied Compute's models without your explicit opt-in and consent. You may withdraw that consent at any time and request deletion of your information by contacting us.
Where possible, we may also de-identify or aggregate data so it no longer links back to you. Once de-identified, this information is no longer treated as Personal Information under this Policy, and we will not attempt to re-identify it unless legally required.
Our goal is to use the information we collect responsibly, so we can provide you with a secure, personalized, and high-quality experience.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
At Applied Compute, your Personal Information is never for sale. We value your trust, and we only share your information when it's needed to deliver and improve our Services, when the law requires it, or when you give us permission.
We may work with carefully selected partners and service providers who help us keep the platform running smoothly, strengthen security, prevent fraud, improve user experience, or understand how our Services are used. These third parties are bound by strict confidentiality obligations and must protect your information.
There may also be times when we're legally required to share your Personal Information, such as in response to a subpoena, court order, or other lawful government request. We may also disclose your Personal Information when needed to detect, stop, or address fraud, misuse, or harmful activity.
If Applied Compute takes part in a corporate transaction, like a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, your Personal Information could be transferred as part of that process, but always under appropriate confidentiality protections.
And if we ever want to use your Personal Information in a way not covered here, we'll ask for your permission first.
4. Measures We Take to Protect Personal Information
At Applied Compute keeping your Personal Information safe is a top priority. We use a combination of administrative policies, technical safeguards, and physical protections to help prevent unauthorized access, misuse, loss, or alteration of your data. Our security practices follow industry standards, and we regularly review and update them to address new risks and evolving best practices. When we work with trusted third-party providers, we require them to meet strict data protection obligations and to treat your information responsibly. While no system can ever be 100% secure against every possible threat, we remain committed to providing a secure environment and protecting the trust you place in us.
5. Children's Privacy
Our Services are not intended for individuals under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone in this age group. If we become aware that we have unintentionally gathered personal data from someone under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly. If you believe that a child under 13 may have provided us with Personal Information, please contact us at team@appliedcompute.com , and we'll address the situation as quickly as possible.
6. Our Approach to Retention of Personal Information
We keep your Personal Information only for as long as it's needed to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy. In some cases, we may need to hold on to it a bit longer, for example, to comply with legal requirements, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Once the information is no longer required, we will either delete it or take steps to de-identify it so it can no longer be linked back to you. De-identified data may still be used to help improve our Services, such as boosting system performance or developing new features.
We also retain Usage Data, information about how you interact with the Services, for internal analysis. This type of data is generally kept for shorter periods, unless it's needed to strengthen security, improve functionality, or must be stored longer to meet legal obligations.
7. Supplemental Terms and Conditions for Certain Regions
Europe
If you are located in the European Economic Area (the "EEA"), Switzerland, or the United Kingdom (the "UK") our legal basis for collecting and using the Personal Information described in this Policy will depend on the Personal Information concerned and the specific context in which we collect it. However, we will normally collect Personal Information from you only where we have your consent to do so, where we need the Personal Information to perform a contract with you, or where the processing is in our legitimate interests and not overridden by your data protection interests or fundamental rights and freedoms. In some cases, we may also have a legal obligation to collect Personal Information from you.
We may share information internally or with third parties, as further described in this Policy. When we share Personal Information of individuals in the EEA, Switzerland or UK with third parties, we make use of a variety of legal mechanisms to safeguard the transfer including the European Commission-approved standard contractual clauses, as well as additional safeguards where appropriate.

If your Applied Compute account is associated with a California mailing address, please note that we do not share the Personal Information we collect about you except as allowed under California law. In accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), we are required to inform you about how we use each category of Personal Information we collect, including sensitive Personal Information.
